Determining if in-home care is right for your loved one depends on their specific needs and circumstances. In-home care may be a good fit if they value independence but require assistance with daily tasks, medication management, or personal care. It’s also ideal if they feel more comfortable and secure aging in their own home rather than moving to a care facility.

Signs that in-home care could be beneficial include difficulty with mobility, managing household chores, or maintaining personal hygiene. If you notice changes in their safety, health, or quality of life, in-home care can provide tailored support while giving you peace of mind.

KupunaLife is licensed and insured which includes the caregivers in its employ. We also provide ongoing training and support to ensure our caregivers deliver safe, reliable, and compassionate services tailored to your loved one's needs.

Clients are matched with caregivers based on their assessed needs, however, changes can be made to accommodate a client's preference for the caregiver.

Our caregivers are trained to respond quickly and appropriately during an emergency, including contacting emergency services if needed and notifying the client’s designated family members immediately. An incident report shall be filed and made available for review.

Our caregivers are trained to manage the unique challenges associated with these conditions, offering compassionate support, maintaining a safe environment, and promoting cognitive engagement to enhance the quality of life for your loved one.

Our caregivers are trained to assist with mobility issues and implement strategies to help prevent falls. They provide physical assistance and use tools like walkers or transfer aids to promote stability and reduce the risk of accidents.

Typically, shifts start at 4 hours and up. However, exceptions can be made based on the care required.

Our services are not covered by Medicare or most traditional insurance plans. While, some long-term care insurance policies may offer coverage. We encourage you to review your policy or consult your provider to explore your options.

Our caregivers can assist with errands and can accompany clients to their medical appointments and other outings as needed. Third-party transportation services can be arranged to assist the client.

Payments for in-home care services are typically handled through a billing process based on the hours of care provided. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. You will receive a detailed invoice outlining the care provided, and we will work with you to ensure that the payment process is convenient and clear.

The costs of caregiving services can vary based on several factors, such as the level of care needed, the number of hours per week, and the geographical location of the client. Typically, costs are calculated on an hourly basis, based on the service requested and your location.

To start care, simply click the "Request Care" button on the top right of our website or call us at 808-738-3105. We will schedule an initial consultation to discuss your loved one's specific needs, conduct an assessment, and create a personalized care plan. Once the plan is in place, we’ll match your loved one with a caregiver who meets their requirements, and care will begin according to the agreed schedule.
