School Of Hawai'i Nursing Assistant Training Program

CNA School of Hawai’i Nursing Training Program was designed to provide and teach students on the competencies needed by nursing assistants caring for clients in a variety of settings.

Length of the Program

The program is 120 hours of classroom and laboratory/clinical work. The curriculum includes the following:

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Infection Control
  • Safety and Emergency Preparation, including abdominal thrusts
  • Respecting Resident’s Rights
  • Clinical experience in a Long-Term Care facility for 2 consecutive days

 

Schedule of Classes

  • Day Classes: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (at least 15 business days)
  • Evening Classes: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (at least 25 business days)

 

Registration Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old or older
  • Valid ID (w/ Picture)
  • Two-step TB Clearance (most recent/done within a year)
